“Omar came to speak at Queens University of Charlotte to share his passionate educational journey with my pre-service teachers during our Needs of Diverse Learners class. My Students were completely mesmerized by his charismatic storytelling and inspired that he had overcome so many obstacles to reach his dreams. Omar was generous enough to lead my students in an interactive activity from the Theater of the Oppressed, and the reflective conversation that followed was amazingly impactful for my students.
